ELECTION OF IJHA OFFICERS will take place during the Annual Meeting at the Preview Show on June 18, 2011 in Salem. The Executive Board positions up for re-election will be President, 1st Vice President, 2nd Vice President, Secretary, 2nd Secretary, and Treasurer. (President is a two year term)

To expedite the election process during our busy show weekend and meeting, this is the procedure to follow if you are interested in running for any of these Executive Board positions. Please send a written paragraph as to why you would like to hold this office, including a parent signature. This is to assure the nominating committee that you have parental support to get you to each and every meeting. Also, please have one letter of recommendation attached, this letter can be from a teacher, coach or adult that is not your parent. 2011 Preview Show General Information

BRED AND OWNED HEIFER SHOW IS A NO FIT SHOW! No grooming products in aerosol cans (adhesives, paints, oils, etc) Pump spray products (like Kleen-Sheen) will be allowed Steers, Bulls, and Owned Heifers will be fit shows.

$10 per head bedding\cleanup fee must be paid with entry. Straw ONLY at tie-outs! No straw will be available for purchase. Tie-outs gates will be provided – no tying to trailers Some of the barns have lower front gates – may want to bring way to tie up heads Generators are strongly encouraged but must be outside the barns.

DelHawk Herefords are donating a show shirt to each exhibitor this year. Exhibitors are required to wear these shirts Sunday when exhibiting cattle.

EID Tags: Animals exhibited at the 2011 JNHE will be required to have an EID tag. EID tags will be available at preview show and animals can be tagged as they go through check-in. If you plan on exhibiting at JNHE, it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED you have the tags put in at preview show. Tags are $3.50 each and may be purchased at check-in.

IBA Sanctioned Point Show: For complete set of 2011 IBA Points Show Rules on the IBA website www.illinoisbeef.com. To earn points you must be a junior member of the IBA.

IPHA Accent on Youth: If you purchased a heifer in the Fall Internet or Illini Classic sale, make sure to download and complete the entry form for the IPHA Accent on Youth class!

Show Supply Vendors: Show Supply Vendors will be on the grounds show weekend. Food & Concessions: Marion County 4-H will be serving breakfast and lunch in the exhibit hall kitchen on Saturday and Sunday.

Banquet: Saturday June 18th at 6:00 pm. Please return your reservations with your entries. A limited number of at-the-door tickets may be available but not guaranteed.

2011 JNHE Auction Basket: Anyone wishing to donate an item unique to Illinois for the silent auction at 2011 Junior Nationals please bring it to the show. Thank you!
